Adults taking Adderall for success?
I recently read an article about adults who take ADD/ADHD medications such as Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta, etc. because they feel it gives them the “edge” they need to be successful in their personal and professional lives. Just wondering if any folks here on Yahoo Questions have tried (or currently take) any of these meds for that reason. Are you satisfied? Any drawbacks or regrets? Thanks for your responses!
i can definatly understand why people would do that, and it probably does work. I just graduated high school in January. I took Adderall every day throughout my senior year. I’m pretty smart already when it comes to school, but before I took Adderall I’d always fall asleep in classes or wouldn’t get around to doing my homework. I got average grades. I started taking Adderall occassionally my junior year for weight loss, but then I realized that it helped me amazingly in school. The first time I took it, I stayed up all night finishing a project that everyone else in my class had been working on for weeks, but I just started that night. I ended up getting a perfect score, and extra credit for how well it was done. Adderall makes you want to work. Any kind of work-homework, housework, or at your job. It makes you extremly motivated, and you become very meticulous at everything you do. You feel the need to complete each task above perfection. I took the ASVAB test in high school as well, which is a military placement test. I took it just for fun, to see how high I could score. I’ve always scored high on tests like those, but I knew with Adderall it could be even higher. I ended up scoring the highest out of anyone in my grade. I also took a placement test at a local college along with a few other classes from my school. I scored in the highest percentile in each part of the test, and once again, had the highest score of anyone that took it that day.
Adderall works wonders, even for people without ADHD. Anyone can take it and it would help them the same way. I can see how people are taking it in order for them to be successful. It definatly gives you the motivation and will power to accomplish whatever you want.
