Sports Articles Steroids

school paper- sports section question?
I’m writing for the school paper and I don’t really have an idea of what to write about. Are there any fresh sports stories I could write about that would still be relatively new in a few weeks (when the article would be published)?
In the past I’ve written about pro baseball, local sports, and about the integrity of sports regarding steroids.
However the problem with my past articles is that in a few weeks they become hackneyed and relatively uninteresting.
