Magazine Article School Uniforms

Should we all follow the same laws in Britain?
I’ve been flicking through a magazine and saw an article about a young Muslim girl being suspened from school because she wouldn’t wear a school uniform.
Surely regardless of religion we should all abide by laws rules and regulations. Is it right that Hindu people don’t have to wear crash helmets because of their Turbans, or kids can’t go to school with their heads shaved or with bright pink hair.
Surely if we are part of a school, team club etc and it permitts us to wear a uniform we should, or is it nowadays that we should be entitled to wear what we like?
Should religion or beliefs mean that it ‘ one rule for 1 and another rule for everyone else’?
I totally agree with you. Rules and regulations and the law should apply to anyone that chooses to live in our country. It really grates on me when people think that they should be allowed to do something different from everyone else and then get up in arms about it if they are refused. They are there to set standards, not for fun.
