Definite Indefinite Articles French

By admin, July 26, 2010 4:46 pm

Can someone explain to me the definite, indefinite, and partitive articles in french?

So can you? I really need this for my final exam! PLEASE HELP!! :(

Definite articles are specific. They mean ‘the’.
le-s/m
la-s/f
l’-singular/vowel beginning
les-plural/m or f

Indefinite is just general. They mean ‘a’ or ‘an’
un-s/m
une-s/f
des-plural/m or f
I don’t really remember what partitive articles are,but I could check if you want.Do the words “cet” and “cette” sound familiar to you? Those could be it or it could be something else.

btw,m=masculine and f=feminine.If you weren’t sure.
