Where did our 3 branch system fail???

what happened to checks and balances??? are we going to have to put this system of government back on the shelf with the Articles of Confederation? it worked for a good 200 years…but now it’s a joke…power is consolidated for the executive branch, payoffs for the lobbyists, and the justices…basically just keep quiet because the constitution doesn’t get much publicity…all these laws and regulations checks and balances put in place so crap like this DOESNT happen…but it all IS happening before your eyes…
