Is this thesis statement a run-on sentence?
I’m currently writing a DBQ-ish essay on the Constitution for school. I’m not sure whether or not my thesis statement is a run-on sentence, so I went here for help. I don’t think I’m allowed to make a two sentence thesis statement, according to my history teacher.
Here’s the thesis:
“The Constitution was created in an effort to establish a new government different from the Articles of Confederation; it then succeeded ratification because of the delegates’ willingness to compromise and the powerful, persuasive arguments of the Federalist.”
