Ca Articleship Stipend

CA after graduation- Is it a great idea even though the no. of CA’s are increasing?

I’ve just finished my grad & i was thinking of doing CA course. I know it may be a little too late and i’m old compared to all those who start during their B.com. But i was wondering that with so many doing CA , that the number of jobs would decrease and so also salary- why would it make sense to work so hard.

Also i would like to know the salary/ stipend of articleship both min and max in Mumbai

Background:
B.com ( banking n insurance) mumbai university-72% 2009
SSC- 63%
HSC-56% (science)
I know a master in finance would really benefit, however i don’t have all the resources to pursue it. A next choice apart from CA for me is CFA( ICFAI) + M.com ( A/c &Fin). thanks for the responses !
:)

see i wouldn’t suggest anyone to go for chartered accountancy after doing their grad as chartered accountancy is a three and a half year course but takes around 4 to 5 years in its completion.i suggest you go for a masters programme in your respective field instead of choosing chartered accountancy.
the salary that one gets while doing his/her articleship is not more than Rs 3000 for a month(it is 2500 in new delhi).
