writing feature articles for magazines
Who, in your opinion, is the greatest leader of all time?

I’m working on a project for my Leadership Seminar class in which in groups, we put together a leadership magazine featuring articles, written by us, about various great leaders in different categories. One of the articles I am writing is the most important: The greatest leader of all time. The rubric says that this person must be deceased.

Our teacher didn’t give us a definition of a “good leader”, she wants us to interpret it for ourselves. Personally, I don’t want to choose the obvious sociopolitical leaders such as Washington, Ghandi, and MLK Jr, although they were all incredible leaders. I was thinking of choosing Eleanor Roosevelt, but I want to consider some other options first.

So, help me out and give me some ideas. Who do you think is the greatest leader of all time?

Alexander the Great.

Still the best known ruler, even 2331 years after his death.
Still unequalled as a soldier.
Had a vision of a multicultural empire combining the best of Europe and Asia.
