Article Of Incorporation Illinois

How does one incorporate my family association formally in Illinois?

My family has held family reunions for over 30 years, and I was recently reading an article whereby many families are incorporating themselves in order to be eligible for corporate donations for their reunions. Family reunions are becoming big business for cities, hotels, etc. so I wanted to look at what would be the proper incorporation for my family in the State of Illinois that would enable us to seek charitable donations and to provide charitable services. Furthermore, the right designation would permit the family to engage in lawful fundraising activities such as raffles. Would we be seeking a 501 C(3) or some other designation? Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.
