Lds 12 Articles Of Faith

LDS, some questions on your articles of faith?
1. “3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.”
-is that like the catholics, faith and works?
2. “12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.”
-which subjects do you count first: being God’s, or being men’s? what happens when that king happens to be like Hitler? what happens when that law is against God?
3. “13. … If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
- how do you define “virtuous”, “lovely”, “good report”, and “praiseworthy”? are those terms not subjective to a person’s own ideas? do you consider money lovely?
brotha G, it just seems that you cant answer my q #3.
so those terms are subjective to a person’s views i take it? is good that you guys have “good” standards, but what happens when a person uses them “bad”?
1, Faith without works is dead, so yes
2. We believe in following those that are doing what they are supposed to. If they are not, like Hitler, it is our job to do our best to get them out of office, legally.
3. That is talking about good things. Not evil things. Money can be good, and it can be evil. It just depends on how you look at it and use it.
