When writing an essay do you underline an article title?

I have to write a summary of an article and I have to put the article name in it. Do I underline it, put in quotations or italicize the name? Please Help (It is due tomorrow!)

Underlining a title and italicizing a title are synonymous, but MLA standard method is underlining.
